There is probably no event in Lake Tahoe that has been missed during the pandemic than Cushing Crossing at Palisades Tahoe. After 2 long years the most anticipated spring event is back! Pack your best costume or cross Cushing Pond for a chance to win prizes from Yeti, Phunkshun Wear and Dermatone. This pond skimming contest begins at 1pm. Enjoy the big spills and zany crossing.

Adventurous Outings in Lake Tahoe
The Best Spring Skiing in Lake Tahoe
We started the ski season in Lake Tahoe with a major snowstorm, which gave us a great base to last through Spring. Over the last few days, the area has received a little precipitation and with Easter week around the corner, Lake Tahoe is the place to be for spring skiing.
Palisades Tahoe, formerly known as Squaw Valley, will be open until May 15th. Their sister resort, Alpine Meadows, offers skiing until May 8th. Northstar California plans to remain open until April 24th, 2022.
Full Moon Snowshoe Tours with Tahoe Adventure Company
April 16th is the night before Easter and will feature a full moon. Strap on your snowshoes for a special Full Moon Snowshoe Trek. Take in the brisk mountain air as you snowshoe under the moon and learn about the High Sierra.
The Tahoe Adventure Company’s knowledgeable guides will discuss local natural history and fascinating facts about the moon. Stop along the way to take in the beautiful views and enjoy snacks and hot drinks.
