The Tahoe Rim Trail is a 165-mile long-distance hiking trail that forms a loop around the Lake Tahoe Basin in the Sierra Nevada and Carson ranges. You can easily access the trail to hike or bike from a variety of locations right here on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe. Thanks to our friends at Tahoe Adventure Company, you could spend a whole week taking a variety of tours on the lake and off – and all in the great outdoors. We always enjoy paddling our kayaks from our sandy beach and there’s no doubt you will too. When you are ready to be a little more adventurous, check out all the tours that await you and yours.
Now here’s a great sport to ‘get away from it all” … if you have ever wanted to add a new sport to your list of adventures, or fine-tune your rock climbing skills, now is the time. There are a variety of rock climbing classes that are available through Tahoe Adventure Company or the new Tahoe Via Ferrata at Squaw Valley.
There might not be a more perfect sport to get out on your own to enjoy a day of fishing the Truckee River or all our crystal clear lakes throughout the High Sierra.
